This caused some confusion about whether Amazon would notify customers of how tariffs were impacting some prices.

In a statement, Amazon founder Jeff Bezos said staff were considering listing import charges on certain products on their Amazon Haul low-cost store. Bezos said nothing was implemented and the company never considered doing this on the primary Amazon storefront. When looking at both Amazon and Amazon Haul, there are no tariff price tags next to items.

Amazon Haul, the site that was under consideration for tariff pricing, is a storefront with lower-cost items meant to compete with China-based companies like Temu or Shein.
