Follett Higher Education has a lot of moving parts to its business. The collegiate book and campus store retailer manages 1,800 ecommerce sites for about 1,250 colleges across the U.S. and Canada, ranging from Stanford to Texas Christian University. Each site not only sells widely different products, but also has numerous other nuances—such as the types and forms of financial aid payments accepted to specific campus cards that can be used for online purchases.

Payment Applications and Security in eCommerce

Are you a payment solution provider? Credit card company? Online business accepting credit card payments? Protecting cardholder data is no doubt a key priority. It can start with open source software (OSS) security and meeting PCI security standards .

In 2019 the Payment Card Industry Security Standards Council (PCI SSC) published security standards for the development and management of payment application software that stores, processes and/or transmits cardholder data. E-commerce studies in Rwandan universities launched | The New Times | Rwanda

The move is part of the deal inked in 2018 between the government of Rwanda and Chinese e-commerce company Alibaba.

Under the 2018 deal, Rwanda and Alibaba committed to develop the ecommerce ecosystem and a digital economy in the country, promoting epayments, and building the capacity of Rwandans in regards to a digital economy.

In line with implementing the capacity building aspect of the deal, the Rwanda Development Board (RDB), the High Education Council in partnership with Alibaba inaugurated the Global Ecommerce Talent (GET), which happens to be Afrca’s first ecommerce training programme at the university level.

Holiday Spend Drives Pinterest Revenue Over $1B | PYMNTS.com

As Pinterest wagered on eCommerce, the social media platform's revenue surpassed the $1 billion threshold last year. Pinterest foresees revenue clocking in at roughly $1.52 billion this year, which would be above analyst forecasts of $1.47 billion, The Wall Street Journal reported.

The San Francisco-based company is looking to roll out a verified merchants program that would first focus on fashion and home décor. To become part of the program, merchants would need to meet some guidelines, like having clearly defined shipping procedures along with contact information for customer service.
