Pro-Trump Preserve America is launching $30 million ad campaign – Ballotpedia News

"Predicting the end of political conventions as we know them may be a popular talking point, but it's not a practical reality. Conventions are an opportunity for networking and building relationships. They're an opportunity for the parties to inject local economies with a much needed tourism boost and to build some much needed goodwill with swing state voters. So much of what makes a convention a convention is about what happens outside of the convention hall, not inside during prime time."

Christian Dior Fall 2020 Ad Campaign - theFashionSpot

Christian Dior's advertising campaigns have definitely missed the mark ever since Maria Grazia Chiuri took the helm back in 2016. Not even Cara Delevingne and Jennifer Lawrence have saved Dior's recent campaigns. In addition, the brand's Spring 2020 offering practically went unnoticed on our forums. Now the French fashion house pays tribute to Italian artist Marcella Campagnano for Fall 2020 .

The campaign proved to be another dud. "When you strip all the narratives away it's basically glorified lookbook photography," critiqued Benn98 .

United Airlines drops ticket change fees for domestic flights - Marketplace

Doug Cameron: It will be permanent till it’s not. The biggest contributor to these change fees were business people traveling, and they just have not come back. And if you listen to company earnings calls, everyone’s cut back on the travel, and probably will do so in some permanent fashion. There’s going to have to be a wholesale change in pricing strategies. And I think, David, this is just the first move.

David Brancaccio: Now, you have to be a little bit careful, right? Because when you search for your best ticket price, what often comes up first is the
“basic economy” fare, that’s what United calls it. And the change fee still applies to this very entry-level ticket price.

Carbon marketplace hawks credits in businesses that store CO2 with their products | Greenbiz

As corporate interest in carbon removal options grows, Puro.earth , a startup from Finland, is offering a twist on carbon marketplaces. Instead of selling and trading credits related to nature-based solutions, its exchange features industrial businesses that store carbon dioxide in products such as biochar, timber construction and other building materials.

Puro.earth co-founder Antti Vihavainen said that unlike other carbon markets that focus on one primary method of storing carbon, Puro.earth "[represents] a broad scope of carbon capture and storage methodologies." The model is entirely voluntary versus "marketplaces such as the EU emissions trading system (ETS) [that are] compliance-based," allowing companies to take initiative on their own terms when it comes to achieving carbon removal goals.

In a lot of cities, there are neighborhoods where hundreds of lunch places depend almost entirely on foot traffic from office workers. With those offices emptied out for the foreseeable future, business has slowed to a trickle.

I know the neighborhood well. It’s home to Marketplace’s New York bureau and many of my favorite lunch spots.

Insurance increasingly unaffordable as climate change brings more disasters - Marketplace

There was a moment in 2016, just after putting an offer on a house in the Oakland Hills in California, that Jamye Alexandra wondered if it was a mistake. Not because of the house itself, or the location, but because the insurance company the previous owners had been with for years said they would not keep insuring the property. There were too many trees, they said. Too much risk of wildfire. That made her pause.

"I was pretty nervous," she said. "But since we were able to find a couple other insurance partners who were willing to do it, I wasn’t too worried."

If getting back to normal means mindless shopping, forget it | Suzanne Moore | Opinion | The

There is a madness that clearly underlies all this. Because, seriously, when am I ever going to wear heels again? Do I even want to? Perfectly respectable folk now arrive at the corner shop in a dressing gown. An advert pings on my screen for something called a house dress – and that's before you even get to the patio dresses. I haven't got a patio, so it all seems wonderfully louche, in a Palm Springs type of way.

In this crisis, all that "I dress for myself – I don't care what other people think" malarkey has been shown up as delusional. It turns out that when people dress for themselves they hardly bother getting dressed at all. How many colleagues only attend to their top half on Zoom and are in trackie bottoms the rest of the day?

I had to resort to shopping online for soup - News - Journal Standard - Freeport, IL

And, while I did change my shopping habits to deal with COVID, one thing that I cannot change is buying groceries. We all need them, but with grocery shopping, there has been frustration with the disruption in the food supply chain. Are people buying more? Or is there a shortage due to workers falling ill at food manufacturing places?

This Is What Frustrates Customers

And, I bet if you ask those companies' executives they'd say they have a great system to manage these types of issues, and many of them will say they deliver a great experience. However, that is not always true. In fact, some of them have never called their own companies for support—at least not on a regular basis. They don't go "undercover" to discover the experience the average customer has during peak times. They don't know what their customers experience on a regular basis.

Customer Journeys Are Becoming Increasingly Complex

It used to be fairly easy for companies to track their customers. The customers likely discovered the brand through a commercial or print ad, went to the store to find what they needed and made the purchase. The journey from finding out about a company to making a purchase was a relatively straight line.

Today's customer journeys are much more complex with multiple lines zigzagging about to move customers from discovery to the final purchase. And even after the purchase, their journey is still continuing. With numerous touchpoints and channels, brands need to have a strong understanding of their customers to track their journeys and offer personalized service and recommendations.

Miamisburg native details renovations to create space for new downtown comic book/coffee shop
