Veganuary: Shopping with a vegan

As "Veganuary" comes to an end, many will take the time to decide if they want to continue the vegan diet — but some are worried about the cost.

Veganuary is a 31-day challenge to try the vegan diet for the month of January; it started as a charity in Europe. The vegan diet is a diet void of dairy, egg, meat and any animal by-products.

In my personal experience, the cost of the vegan diet isn't as much as people think, as long as you're not spending your money on vegan "meat" substitutes such as Beyond Meat, Gardein, MorningStar Farms or Impossible Meat. These kind of products can be more expensive and really push up your total grocery bill. They should be seen more as a food to eat in moderation if you're trying to cut costs.

Quite a lot has been going on:

Shopify Stock Is on Sale: 15% Off!

However, in some ways, I don’t think this is surprising at all. Shopify is a stock trading at a premium multiple that is far in excess of what we’re used to seeing on the TSX. This is perhaps the most perfectly priced stock anywhere in the world right now, so any inkling of anything that could potentially go wrong could take this stock price lower in the near term.

Considering the dip we’ve seen in Shopify stock, investors have to wonder if more volatility is on the horizon. That said, I’m going to make the argument that this is a stock that has the potential to continue its meteoric rise this year. Therefore, buying the dip and picking up the 15% discount on this stock could be a great play long term.

3 Emerging Ecommerce Trends to Keep an Eye on in 2021 – SmarterCX

Ecommerce has assumed an even larger role over the past year as the effects of the global pandemic have pushed almost every customer-facing business into the online world. Internet retailers have set sales records throughout 2020 as billions of buyers stay safe at home and do their shopping via their laptops and mobile devices instead of visiting storefronts and malls.

With this in mind, it’s not surprising that 2021 promises to be a pivotal year for ecommerce. Although traditional retail experiences are predicted to return by the third quarter after vaccination campaigns have helped bring the COVID-19 virus under control, there’s strong evidence that ecommerce won’t see its role diminished over the next 12 months.

Five trends in machine learning-enhanced analytics to watch in 2021

As the world prepares to recover from the Covid-19 pandemic, businesses will need to increasingly rely on analytics to deal with new consumer behaviour.

Machine learning and artificial intelligence are finding increasingly significant use cases in data analytics for business. Here are five trends to watch out for in 2021.

Gartner predicts that by 2024, 75% of enterprises will shift towards putting AI and ML into operation. A big reason for this is the way the pandemic has changed consumer behaviour. Regression learning models that rely on historical data might not be valid anymore. In their place, reinforcement and distributed learning models will find more use, thanks to their adaptability.

Analytics-as-a-Service: Towards the future of Business Analytics

Today, businesses are growing at a tremendous pace and so is the data. Simultaneously, the way businesses used to process is also changing, they are now looking to utilize the historical and the continuous stream of data to generate game-changing insights. It is however easier said than done. To analyze these huge datasets, a business needs to invest in various resources including manpower, hardware, and software. This could certainly not be everyone's cup of tea.

This steadily increasing need for analytics is not limited to any one sector but spreads across industries like manufacturing, retail, health, etc, and verticals like HR, finance, operations, etc. The increasing number of IoT devices and the need for analytics without huge investments have led to the increased demand. According to MarketsandMarkets forecast, the analytics as a service market size with growing at 23.2% CAGR from US 4.3 billion in 2019 to USD 12.1 billion by 2024.

Vintage with a Twist: Michigan Model in Ad Campaign That Queers '70s Beauty Standards - Pride

Without dispute, the ’70s were an iconic fashion decade. Tie-dye, floral, bell-bottoms, mini (and maxi) dresses. It’s not hard to pick out a seminal trend whose influence can be seen even in modern-day wear.

But despite its fun fashion, the decade idealized white standards of beauty, largely leaving out anyone who didn’t meet the mold of skinny, cisgender female models.

The online project is a series of reimagined vintage magazine ads that includes models of various races from the body modification, vitiligo and body positivity communities. But it’s not only representative of physical diversity. “Prim-n-Poppin” showcases five reimagined vintage beauty ads that also highlight models with ranging sexual orientations and gender identities.

Cointreau's first Super Bowl ad shows support for local restaurants | Campaign US

Liqueur brand Remy Cointreau is advertising in the Super Bowl for the first time with the Independent Restaurant Coalition (IRC) in a documentary-style "love letter" for restaurant workers.

The ad will air nationally during the game on Feb. 7 as a tribute to the struggling restaurant industry, which has been especially vulnerable during the pandemic.

The creative for the 30-second spot features real local restaurants and bars impacted by the pandemic and ongoing lockdowns.
