This decision isn't merely about an in-fill commercial and residential development at Dorsey Drive and Highway 49. It's not only about questions of increased traffic and outside businesses coming to our town.

This development — a proposed 172-unit apartment complex with 104,350 square feet of space for commercial and community use — potentially is a significant step toward getting closer to our housing goals.
Plenty of questions remain, and should be answered before the Grass Valley City Council gives the green light to developers. How much will the development impact traffic? What do local fire officials and first responders say about the effect to response times? Wasn't this a major selling point of the Dorsey Interchange, that ambulance and fire engine response times would improve? What stores will fill the commercial area? Will the city place limits on what types of businesses could go there?

One of the biggest drains on profitability is its food delivery service, Uber Eats. It’s growing but still losing money. Despite that, Uber says it’s sticking with Eats and will double down and streamline.
Amazon's Third-Party Marketplace Faces Fresh Regulatory Headwinds | The Motley
In the past, e-commerce marketplaces like Amazon were largely allowed to maintain their own policies regarding counterfeit goods. But on Jan. 24, the Department of Homeland Security (DHS) outlined new plans which would enable U.S. Customs and Border Protection to oversee packages in North American warehouses and ensure that businesses engage in the "bulk abandonment and destruction of contraband goods."

The DHS also wants local law enforcement to use "all available statutory authorities to pursue civil fines and other penalties against these entities." The report notes that gross merchandise sales of products on Amazon's third-party marketplace surged from $100 million in 1999 to $160 billion in 2018, and suggests that growth was partly fueled by sales of questionable products from overseas merchants.
