MIAMI – Publix Supermarkets will begin offering special hours for senior citizens to shop without additional crowds in the store.
Beginning Tuesday, March 24, Publix will open two mornings a week from 7 a.m. to 8 a.m. for customers age 65 and up.

Kroger updates hours of operation; announces shopping hour for seniors
LEXINGTON, Ky. (WKYT/Gray News) - A press release from Kroger states that beginning March 23, Kroger stores will adjust their hours of operation to 7 a.m. to 9 p.m. daily.
This change does not affect Kroger Mid-Atlantic locations (most Virginia stores), while they are considering making changes.
The hours will allow workers more time for store cleaning and stocking. Kroger will also dedicate the first hour of operation, from 7 a.m. to 8 a.m. on Mondays, Tuesdays, Wednesdays, and Thursdays to seniors over 60, and other higher-risk customers, as defined by the CDC.

Amazon.com Inc has said it is raising overtime pay for associates working in its United States warehouses, as the world's largest online retailer tries to meet the rapidly growing demand for online shopping from consumers stuck at home owing to the coronavirus outbreak.
Hourly workers at the warehouses will receive double pay after 40 hours for overtime, up from the 1.5-times rate, from March 15 to May 9, the announcement said on Saturday .
"All hourly associates working in the US Ops network will receive double their regular hourly rate for every overtime hour worked in a workweek," the company said in a statement. "This temporary increased overtime pay is effective March 15, 2020 and will continue through May 9, 2020."

PORTLAND, Ore. (KOIN) — Older residents and those at a higher risk of catching the coronavirus through community spread will now have an opportunity to shop for groceries without facing crowded isles or long checkout lines.
Fred Meyer and QFC stores have partnered to offer designated shopping hours for senior residents and “other high-risk customers as defined by the CDC,” the companies announced in a joint statement on Saturday.
