Facebook Marketplace is one of the biggest second-hand buying and selling platforms in the world. But its efforts to slow the spread of coronavirus pale in comparison to those of rival apps.
However, a host of Facebook Marketplace users in the U.K. told CNBC that they were still completing face-to-face transactions over the platform. Some of them said they're taking their own precautions by wearing masks and gloves, but not all. The company has said that users should follow government advice and it was monitoring the situation.

Missouri to utilizes Google technology to launch Missouri PPE marketplace
JEFFERSON CITY, M0. (WGEM) — Missouri Gov. Mike Parson announced Wednesday that the state will launch a new tool developed by Google to help health care providers connect with Missouri manufacturers and suppliers of personal protective equipment (PPE).
"It's vital that we keep our health care workers as protected as possible in the fight against COVID-19," Governor Parson said. "Manufacturers across the state have answered the call to help protect our health care workers, and we are committed to doing all we can to get this equipment into the hands of those that need it."

Site clearing has started on a 2.10-acre lot to the north of Lowe's, which will be home to a new Aldi grocery store.
"We are excited to confirm that we are planning to open an new Aldi store in the Saratoga Springs/Wilton area," Persohn wrote.
According to plans submitted to the Planning Board in November 2018, the store will be 19,896 square feet of retail space and 434 square feet of loading/storage area. The store will have 93 parking spaces.
