"Our work in (Hurricane) Katrina or Super Storm Sandy and after 9/11 and even back to our roots in WWII, it was clear we were going to find ourselves in one of those moments as more and more information came out about COVID-19," said Lisa Sherman, CEO of The Ad Council.

Lilly ad campaign in U.S.
Driven by COVID-19 shutdowns and job losses in the millions, Lilly had already seen a 32% increase in call volumes to the diabetes help call center. After the ads ran Monday, call volume jumped by 91% over the previous Monday, March 23. The 340 incoming calls marked the highest single-day call volume since the program began in August 2018 .
"We expect the numbers to continue to rise as different states take measures from a quarantine standpoint and as more and more people are affected through loss of job or loss of insurance, or if they just weren't aware previously of the diabetes solution center," said Andy Vicari, senior director of Lilly's insulin business in the U.S.

“Wall will cut off trade, aid, and support to China,” the narrator says. “China is a criminal enterprise masquerading as a sovereign nation.”
Genius Ad Campaign Threatens to Ruin Your Favorite Netflix Shows
The Miami Ad School just unveiled a genius way of making sure people actually adhere to self-isolation implementations during the coronavirus pandemic. The school’s European branch has created a number of billboards that contain huge spoilers for popular Netflix shows.
The thinking is that people will remain inside in fear of having their go-to Netflix binge ruined for them. The campaign targets hit series like Stranger Things , Narcos , Love Is Blind , and more.

GumGum, Inc., an artificial intelligence company specializing in solutions for advertising and media, today announced that it is working with the Ad Council on its efforts to communicate messaging that will help slow the spread of COVID-19. The company teed off the Ad Council's coronavirus messaging efforts when it began serving in-screen ads featuring the hashtag #AloneTogether to communicate the importance of social distancing.
"When the Ad Council announced their PSA plans, we immediately let them know that we wanted to help, because we trust and admire all the work they do, and we have a platform specialized in targeting digital audiences at a time when so many are online seeking for information," said GumGum CEO Phil Schraeder. "We turned around the campaign in less than 48 hours because we felt a real urgency about this message. Social distancing works, but you need to start early and get everyone participating.

He's the face of a new ad campaign for Shure, promoting the brand's new AONIC 50 wireless noise-canceling headphones and AONIC 215 sound-isolating earphones. Adam and Maroon 5 have worked with the brand for more than 10 years.
The commercial features the Dillon Francis remix of Maroon 5's smash "Memories;" Adam stars in it and provides the voiceover. He also sports one of his more interesting hairdos: His head is shaved on both sides, and got a long flat blond Mohawk running down the middle.

During these times of self distancing, isolation and quarantine, going out for a favorite meal seems like a distant dream. But Burger King France is letting people in on the secret to making a Whopper at home, with some easy-to-understand pictorial directions.
A tweet sent out by the French arm of the global chain states 'Le Whopper de la quarantaine' on a poster, with an illustration on how to put one together.
It shows a list of ingredients in the order needed to make a Whopper, starting with a bun, then red onion, pickles, ketchup, ground beef, mayonnaise, lettuce, tomato and another bun. Of course, it doesn't give any directions on how to make it, including how someone in a small Parisian apartment might flame grill something without causing an inferno, but the basics are there.
Democrats Press FCC To Speak Out On Trump Campaign Legal Threat – Deadline
Two prominent House Democrats want the FCC to give stations assurances that their licenses won’t be in jeopardy, after Donald Trump ’s presidential campaign suggested as much in a legal threat sent to outlets airing a pro-Joe Biden Super PAC ad critical of the president’s response to the coronavirus crisis.
Rep. Frank Pallone (D-NJ), the chairman of the House Energy and Commerce Committee, and Rep. Mike Doyle (D-PA), who heads the communications and technology subcommittee, wrote in a letter to FCC Chairman Ajit Pai that “we believe the FCC has a duty to provide clear guidance to broadcasters and the public that threats by politicians about protected speech will not influence the agency or broadcaster licenses. To stay silent could undermine the First Amendment and the Communications Act.
