Mother Teresa attorney addresses 2016 ad in Indiana campaign dust-up
Last week, an attorney who represented Mother Teresa chastised an Indiana 5th Congressional District candidate for using her in a campaign ad.
Now that very attorney, Florida lawyer Jim Towey, is expressing regret for doing virtually the same thing in a campaign ad for a U.S. congressional candidate several years ago.
Towey's position hasn't changed. "The fact that I erred in judgment in 2016 does not mean I should fail to properly represent the Missionaries of Charity in 2020," he said. "I sincerely hope Dr. Dietzen does what the Missionaries of Charity asked him to do — and what I should have done four years ago — and keep Mother Teresa out of politics and political campaigns."
