CLEVELAND HEIGHTS, Ohio -- Over $330,000 worth of exterior improvements are well under way on three storefront rehabilitation projects in the city.
And nearly $200,000 of that work is being done on two storefronts in the Noble neighborhood, thanks in large part to increased rebate percentages that the Economic Development Department presented to City Council last summer .

Fire Consumes Storefront in Harlem - The New York Times
New York firefighters battled a three-alarm blaze on Sunday night that started in a furniture store across the street from the Adam Clayton Powell Jr. State Office Building in Harlem, the authorities said.
The fire broke out around 7:30 p.m. in a store on the corner of 125th Street and Adam Clayton Powell Jr. Boulevard, and was contained by 10:30 p.m., a spokesman for the Fire Department said. There were no reported injuries.

As Physical Retail Declines, Storefront Explores VR Pop-Ups
Fast forward to spring 2020. Permanent and temporary stores closed in mid-March when the coronavirus pandemic escalated. That led to a cataclysmic shift for the pop-up providers known as the Airbnbs of retail.
Brands are so busy fulfilling my online impulse orders, they're hardly considering offline outposts to showcase a limited edition lip balm. So Storefront's adapting by offering clients virtual reality (VR) pop-up shops.
I had to ask: Don't shoppers see enough in a typical online store? Haouache says VR pop-ups are the closest customers can get to picking up and "playing" with goods online. Plus, any new tech offers a marketing advantage as retailers try to stand out online.
Papa Joe's settles into new Broad Street storefront in west Pataskala
A dining enterprise that began as a BBQ food truck, then moved to a sit-down eatery within a Pataskala service station, is now a standalone restaurant at 14950 E. Broad St.

The new restaurant was in its first days of service, operating from the space formerly home to Thurman's and with pass-through-windows to neighboring The Duggie Sports Bar .
Food service to the bar was just finding its feet, and customers finding the new Papa Joe's site, when Ohio's restaurants were ordered to go dark for dining room service and all bars ordered closed.

Outdoor construction and landscaping businesses were already allowed to operate under an earlier modification.
Morgantown police looking for car and driver who ran into downtown storefront | WBOY.com
MORGANTOWN, W.Va. – Around 3:30 a.m. Sunday, Morgantown Police officers were called to Walnut Street for a report of a car bumper laying on the sidewalk. Officers arrived on scene and found what appeared to be a vehicle accident where a vehicle went into the Hoot and Howl shop located at the corner of Walnut and Spruce streets, according to a news release.
The Morgantown Fire Department also responded to the scene and secured the building. Officers have been in contact with the shop’s owner and continue to collect evidence, investigators said.

The building at 710 Oak St. in Lower Haight is zoned commercially, according to the listing, but has been used as an apartment.
