Answer: To really start at the beginning, the first question is what are you be selling that people want to buy? If you are crafty it might be handmade art, clothes or jewelry. Perhaps you're really good at finding underpriced treasures on Craigslist or at garage sales and want to resell them for a profit.

Pandemic Was The Final Straw: Greenpoint Store Flying Squirrel Closes Its Doors After 17 Years  -

Kate Schmitz, an artist and the owner of Greenpoint's Flying Squirrel, was hopeful to be finally, after 17 years, turning a profit. Then, the pandemic hit, and her store — which sells new and secondhand children's toys and clothing — was ordered closed. On Monday she received a notice to vacate the storefront by May 2nd.

Schmitz has not been able to pay the $6,200 monthly rent since March 1st – an amount she was only able to afford by bringing in subtenants, small business owners who rented out sections of the shop.

AG Nessel - three online businesses accused of COVID-19 price-gouging | News | WKZO

LANSING, MI (WKZO AM/FM) -- Attorney General Dana Nessel is continuing her crackdown on consumer price-gouging amid the COVID-19 pandemic.

The latest online businesses to come under fire are three storefronts operating through Amazon under the usernames CollectiblesJi, SmartHome Distribution, and Warehouse Bricks. The sellers are based in Berrien Springs, Portage and Walker, respectively.

The Attorney General's office alleges these third-party sellers on Amazon violated Michigan law by charging the consumer a price that is grossly in excess of the price at which similar property or services are sold, and causing coercion and duress as the result of the time and nature of a sales presentation.
