In-Person Retail Shopping Allowed In California, Pending County Approval – CBS Los Angeles


LOS ANGELES (CBSLA) — The California Department of Public Health Monday announced the statewide reopening of in-store retail shopping, a major step in the state’s loosening of shutdown orders issued in March to slow the spread of the novel coronavirus .

The reopening of stores is subject to approval by individual county health departments, and Supervisor Janice Hahn’s office indicated Monday night that Los Angeles County might lift its current restrictions Tuesday, allowing modified in-person shopping at all retail locations

Businesses that were forced to close throughout Illinois are set to reopen on Friday. Phase 3 of the Reopen Illinois plan will allow for several industries to reopen, including retail.

Mike Crouch owns Just for Fun game store in Peoria. He says one of his favorite parts of his jobs is interacting with customers.

"Getting to see people again, our regulars, getting to talk to people who don't do gaming a lot, share games with them," said Crouch.

Woman stabbed in parking lot of Raleigh shopping center

The Memphis Police Department responded to the stabbing call at the shopping center on Austin Peay Highway near New Covington Pike.

A woman was found with stab wounds and was taken to the Regional Medical Center in critical condition.

A Kroger spokesperson said the stabbing did not happen at Kroger, but near another business in the shopping center.

San Mateo supervisor expects in store retail shopping to start as early as this week | KRON4

SAN MATEO, Calif. (KRON) – Governor Gavin Newsom says counties can start reopening in-store retail shopping, however, the decision is ultimately up to each counties health officer.

So far, northern counties Solano, Sonoma and Napa have already moved deeper into Phase 2-reopening and it’s likely San Mateo County will be next on the list if its health county health rules allow.

San Mateo Supervisor David Canepa expects in-store retail to begin soon, starting as early as this week or next week, as long as health and safety protocols are in place.

From makeup to shoes, shopping for high-touch products sees drastic changes | FOX 13 Tampa Bay

TAMPA, Fla. - Retailers and customers are changing the ways of shopping, especially for items that will be touched by multiple customers before going out the door, which includes everything from electronics to shoes.

Shops at Hyde Park are now outfitted with signs and new rules. At Francesca's, a maximum of 20 guests is allowed inside.

Many shoppers could be seen wearing masks, waiting outside the doors until capacity was low enough for them to be let in.
