Grace period is over for S.C. utility customers who are behind on bills
COLUMBIA, S.C. (WRDW/WAGT) -- For the past two months, utilities were ordered not to cancel services for customers who could not pay their bills on time because of the coronavirus pandemic.
The South Carolina Public Service Commission rescinded that order Thursday, but with specific conditions. Commissioners said companies must help customers set up payment plans and connect them with payment assistance programs if applicable before disconnecting any services.
Restaurants see customers return during the second week of the back-to-business plan

A manager on Beale Street said they're pleased with phase one but ready for the next step and more customers.
"Everybody's wearing gloves. They're wearing masks," said Tracy Linares. "They're standing six feet apart whenever they talk to us. I mean that's all we can do right now."
Springfield bar prepares for customers following loosened COVID-19 restrictions
SPRINGFIELD, Mo. (KY3) -- Going to the bar means you can't sit at the bar in Springfield right now.
However, bartenders and customers are happy just to have a place to go again.
For two months, many bars, businesses, and breweries downtown had to switch gears. They either turned to curbside pick up or closed completely in response to city orders.
On May 7, the city allowed bars to reopen. That's why Harbell's Grill and Sports Bar, in Downtown Springfield, reopened its doors on Tuesday, May 14.

Power restored for thousands of Midwest Energy customers after outage
CASS COUNTY, Mich. -- Midwest Energy and Communication had four substations down Friday morning, resulting in 4,634 customers losing power in Michigan.
According to the power company, all customers had their power restored before 10 a.m. on Friday.
According to a press release, customers in Calvin, Mason, Porter, Oslo, Washington, Mottville, York, Washington, Constantine and Penn townships were affected.
Baraboo hair salon prepares to welcome back customers
BARABOO, Wis. — A Sauk County hair salon is getting ready to welcome back its customers next week.
Shear Trendz in Baraboo has been closed for eight weeks, which equals about 400 to 500 lost appointments. Since the “Safer at Home” order was lifted, the owner and stylists are anxious to get their clients back in their chairs, but not before doing anything and everything to ensure safety.
