MEMPHIS, Tenn. (WMC) - MLGW issued a statement Monday regarding the possibility of customers having received two bills during July.

Back in February, MLGW announced the start of a new "nine-month, county-wide streamlining and reorganization of meter reading routes" which they said would affect customers' billing cycles.
The spokesperson says MLGW advises customers to check their bulling due dates because they could vary from month to month. But was clear to add, "no customer is being doubled charged."

Since restaurants started reopening at the end of May, owners and employees have taken to social media to describe altercations with customers. On June 29, Paul Tamburello, owner of Little Man Ice Cream , said one guest spit on a team member , and in a separate instance, another coughed all over the counter.
On Wednesday, video of an angry customer at Molly's Spirits in Lakeside went viral, as employees repeatedly asked her to leave the store for refusing to wear a mask. In response, the customer called staff "Nazis in Nazi America."

Apparently, some businesses are not enforcing the face-covering restrictions mandated by Gov. Kate Brown. What does that say about those companies' concern for the comfort and safety of the majority of their customers who are wearing masks that likely protect both themselves and others from contracting the virus? When I see customers without masks roaming a store's aisles, I think that store cares more about maximizing profits than protecting its customers.

ANN ARBOR, MI — Many DTE customers are expected to be without power overnight and into late Tuesday following storms that saw winds reach as high as 60 mph throughout Southeast Michigan Sunday night.
As of 1 p.m. Monday, July 20, the company had 915 crews in the field working to restore power to more than 86,000 customers, according to the DTE outage map .
The storms that hit Michigan over the weekend also knocked out power in parts of the Northern Lower Peninsula. As of noon Monday, about 17,000 residences and businesses were without power.
