Mountain Mike's Pizza opened on Tuesday in The Marketplace. It replaces Round Table Pizza , at 1411 W. Covell Blvd., Suite 111.
The franchise group Mann and Kumar Pizza Inc. owns the restaurant. The group consists of Gurjeet Mann, Hanish Kumar and 2019 UC Davis graduate Sumeet Benipal. According to a spokeswoman, Mann is a longtime Mountain Mike's franchisee who owns eight locations in California. He opened the Davis pizzeria in partnership with two of his former restaurant managers.
