Using AI, Data Analytics to Enhance Person-Centered Care for Seniors

With the population of older individuals rapidly growing, healthcare leaders are beginning to brace themselves for the wave of challenges that will inevitably crash over every part of the industry. Older adults need increasing amounts of clinical care and social services to stay well, and in a system where resources are already strained, this surge could put overwhelming burdens on care providers.

To overcome the barriers associated with an aging population, organizations are starting to seek the help of advanced tools to better understand the needs of older individuals – namely, artificial intelligence and data analytics technologies.

Harnessing consumers' digital information is critical to the success of any business, and data analytics and artificial intelligence (AI) can be especially powerful tools.

Numerous quick-service restaurants (QSRs) have deployed these technologies to support their operations, tailor their customer service approaches and even boost sales, but many players, including several big names, have been reluctant to invest in such innovations.

Fast-food giant McDonald's was not interested in using AI or data analytics until it noticed that many of its competitors were benefiting from the technologies. BI not BS: how businesses are building futures with data analytics

There's nothing quite like a bit of optimism. It can be infectious, at least in the hands of the right people. It was interesting to see some recent stats from McKinsey, showing how global executives currently have a fairly optimistic view of their local economies, despite the ongoing struggle with Covid-19.

More than half of all executives surveyed said economic conditions in their own countries will be better six months from now, and they were also upbeat on their own companies' profitability. Clearly they must know something, or maybe they are just being bullish, talking it up and hoping for the best.

Utah Jazz add analytics expert to coaching staff from Philadelphia 76ers - Deseret News

In his role with Philadelphia, Oliva helped lead the team's analytics department, and he'll now bring that expertise to the Jazz, but in more of a coaching role. His hire follows that of Dell Demps, who will also join the Jazz as an assistant coach. Demps has been a longtime executive in the NBA but not a coach (Oliva does have prior coaching experience in Spain).
