Rick Scott Launches Anti-Biden Ad Campaign | Florida Political Review

The ad wasn't the only one Scott released this past week. According to his political committee, he made a "significant six-figure buy" for an ad campaign in Florida in the final week before Election Day, Politico reports.

In his television ad titled " Don't Give Up ," Scott criticizes the Democratic Party and suggests Former Vice President and Presidential Nominee Joe Biden is beholden to the party's agenda.

"Democrats have a radical plan for America," he says while addressing the viewer face-to-face in his signature button-down shirt and U.S. Navy cap. "Joe Biden may not even be aware of it, but Kamala Harris is."

Quite a lot has been going on:

What Joe Biden's And Donald Trump's Facebook Ads Reveal About Their Campaign Strategies

Between October 24 and 30, President Donald Trump's campaign spent $4.48 million on Facebook ads while former vice president Joe Biden's campaign spent $9.28 million.

While political advertising on Facebook has been part of presidential candidates' campaigns for the past several election cycles, the hyper-targeted and fragmented nature of advertising on the platform has made taking a granular look at their strategies nearly impossible. This time, however, the social network has collected and made publicly available tens of thousands of ads from President Donald Trump and former Vice President Joe Biden.

Silicon Valley Organization sends campaign mailers after ad

In a stunning move made less than a day before Tuesday’s election, Silicon Valley’s chamber of commerce has dissolved its political action committee amid the fallout from a racist attack ad it had commissioned last week in a San Jose City Council race.

“Today, as first a step toward restoring its 130-year reputation, the Silicon Valley Organization voted to immediately dissolve the SVO PAC, subject to state and local campaign finance laws and reporting requirements,” Terry Downing, a public relations consultant working with the SVO, said in a written statement Monday.

A Positive Ad Campaign, if Only for a Weekend - The New York Times

Hi. Welcome to On Politics , your guide to the day in national politics. I'm Nick Corasaniti, your host on Tuesdays for our coverage of all things media and messaging.

* * *

And in this deeply polarized climate, with a president who seeks out the most caustic corners of modern politics, campaigns seem to be relying on negative advertising more than ever.

Though the Trump campaign kept up its negative advertising, the decision by the Biden campaign to go wholly positive offered a glimpse into how it is pitching Mr. Biden in a vacuum away from Mr. Trump.
