If this year has taught us anything, it's that nothing is normal right now. So it should be no surprise that holiday shopping will also look and feel different in 2020. First, it's happening earlier than ever. Spurred on by Amazon's Prime Day in October, many consumers are starting to shop now – even before Black Friday and Cyber Monday hit. Plus with COVID-19 restrictions in place and many shoppers still wary of being inside stores, online shopping is expected to be huge this season.
While you're here, how about this:

15th Country Roads Christmas shopping event expands to full month
"It's a wonderful 'shop small, shop local' tradition with lots of holiday cheer," said Nancy Rose, whose family owns Red Apple Farm in Phillipston. She said organizers decided to extend the event this year to make it safe and convenient for local shoppers to participate in the COVID-19 era.
"Many of our shops are small, some very small," Rose said. "That would have made it impossible, or near impossible, to host the event in one weekend for those shop owners. By extending it over 31 days, customers can visit shops during any regular business hours, avoiding crowds and any lines that may have occurred by hosting it over one weekend."
