To quote Ross Geller... PIVOT. Pivot is truly the name of the game in 2020 and it is nice to see how many businesses are finding a way to pivot to something new due to the pandemic.

It's not fair, it's a huge roadblock to success and it's exhausting to keep changing your business to fit the pandemic, however, we appreciate all of those businesses who have managed to pivot, including K Paige Shop in Roscoe.
K Paige is such a cute shop is Roscoe and it's a major bummer that they're shutting their doors at the end of this month, but the silver lining is that they are going to open an online shop and pop-up boutiques in 2021.

In November, the shoe designer and founder of Jessica Rich — a go-to brand for celebrities like Jennifer Lopez, Kylie Jenner , Cardi B and more — opened a store at the Beverly Center in Los Angeles. Poised between Versace and Burberry, the new Jessica Rich brick-and-mortar outpost is the realization of the Grand Rapids, Mich.-native’s wildest dreams.
“It feels surreal,” Rich, who launched the brand in 2017, told FN. “It’s insane. Every time I come here, I’m like: ‘Oh my God, this is my store?’ It’s a blessing.”
Stephen Burks and Malika Leiper open a storefront studio to spotlight
For its second event, Contemporaries will host its first author-in-residence, Katie Swenson , an architect at MASS Design Group and the writer of Design With Love and In Bohemia . Titled,"These Are the Gifts," the project will focus on themes of generosity and healing in addition to the power of kindness in urban design. A design-centric holiday market will follow Swenson's activation. "What's wonderful is that it's an experiment, but it's also collaborative," says Leiper.
Even before the pandemic, brick-and-mortar retail was having a tough go of it, to say the least. Leiper and Burks are looking at Contemporaries as a potential new way to use the increasing number of vacant storefronts. "I think culture could be a tool for activating these spaces that might be considered undesirable," says Leiper.
