State approves Vacant Storefront District to encourage new business in Ware - masslive.com

WARE — The state has approved the town's application to create a Vacant Storefront District, which will offer tax incentives for filling 23 vacant storefronts downtown.

Some on the list, such as the row of buildings stretching from 92-114 Main St., were condemned years ago. The Selectboard earlier this year ordered the demolition of 112-114 Main St. block .

WEST TOWN — Designer Tania Mackey has long dreamed of opening her first brick-and-mortar clothing store, and thanks to the West Town Chamber of Commerce, she is finally pursuing her dream.

Mackey’s clothing company NICZKA was the first tenant to sign a lease at 1821 W. Chicago Ave, a 550-square-foot pop-up storefront occupied by the West Town Chamber of Commerce.

Mackey, 30, had been working on NICZKA “on the side” for the last five years while working other jobs. It wasn’t until the pandemic, however, that she launched her e-commerce site.

Charissa Lucille is closing her Wasted Ink Zine Distro space at The Hive, an arts enclave located on 16th Street south of Thomas Road.

Lucille says renovations inside Wasted Ink Zine Distro resulted in significant damage to the zines she sells, which include titles by dozens of different authors and illustrators.

"FBI Indianapolis Division SWAT and Bartholomew County Sheriff's Office took Jonathan (Van Duyn) into custody without incident this morning," the department said in a news release. "Jonathan will be held in Indiana before being extradited to McHenry County, Illinois where he is wanted on an active warrant for failure to appear. Family is traveling to Indiana to reunite with Jocelyn."

Police were searching for Jonathan Van Duyn, 33, in connection to the disappearance of his 10-year-old daughter who has gone missing.

Delmar acting and dance studio in new storefront location

BETHLEHEM — Broadway Bound, an acting and dance studio in Delmar, has moved to a new location along Delaware Avenue.

The studio moved recently into a storefront at 222 Delaware Ave. next to Domino's Pizza after leaving an office complex at 785 Delaware Ave., which was much farther away from the Four Corners business district in Delmar.

New Fair Haven Dunkin' Location As Sea Bright Storefront Shutters | Rumson, NJ Patch

Sea Bright's Dunkin' drive-thru will be permanently closing this week, a representative from the brand confirmed to Patch on Tuesday.

The closure comes as Monmouth County claiming the building by eminent domain for the Sea Bright Bridge remodeling project, according to a report from The Journal NJ.

"After 17+ years we will sadly be closing our doors due to circumstances out of our control on Friday, Dec 18th," reads a sign posted to the door of the popular coffee chain, The Journal NJ reports.
