Arcing wires knock out power for 2,105 Santa Clara customers
Arcing wires and a burned utility pole caused a power outage Saturday morning that knocked out electricity for 2,105 customers in Santa Clara on Pomeroy Avenue between Lochinvar and Homestead roads, said the city’s police department.
The outage began at 10:39 p.m. in the southwest part of the city, affecting customers of Silicon Valley Power, the utility said. The Santa Clara Fire Department extinguished the fire and by 11:10 a.m. power had been restored to most customers.
4 Customer Retention Tips for Securing Lost Sales - Business 2 Community
When most people think of growing a business, they think about increasing sales through new customer acquisitions. Generating new leads and customers is a surefire way to increase your profits, but it's far from the only way.
Another excellent way to gradually grow your business is by improving your customer retention rate. The problem many marketers face is they focus more on getting new customers instead of keeping existing users engaged with their brand.

SANTA CRUZ — Approximately 4,400 customers in Santa Cruz County as of Friday morning still don’t have electricity after the record windstorm earlier this week, according to PG&E spokeswoman Mayra Tostado.
Tostado said Friday that the utility had made progress restoring power to those in all cities affected.

32 participating restaurants have created unique menus for diners to try. Due to the pandemic this year all participating restaurants are offering to-go options as well as dine-in specials as well.
“The takeout option is amazing! Taking care of yourself is the biggest thing during these times. It’s important to support these restaurants. They’re going through just as much stress as the rest of us. So to have that option for takeout is the amazing part because you get to go home, and while eating you get that whole experience of being in that restaurant,” said Isabella Steinle.
Letters to the editor: Vaccination system hitch; Hight's loyal customers; police no answer for
In response to the letter about the efficiency in the Boulder Community Health vaccination program, we would like to point out one hiccup that we encountered, and that is that one can print out reservations to get the vaccine without actually having signed up.
This happened to both of us. One of us found out after talking to a help-desk person about another issue. She noted that she had received calls from other people who wanted to change their vaccine reservation — only to discover that they didn't have one in the first place, so this problem isn't restricted to us.
