Participants in an event scheduled for Saturday at the Jess Ranch Marketplace say they will encourage people to "take off their masks" while shopping at stores in the Apple Valley complex to promote "freedom and truth" in what appears to be a protest of COVID-19 protocols.
A flyer for the two-hour demonstration, which is billed as a "MASK FREE SHOPPING EVENT," is making the rounds on social media. It states that participants hope to start at the Target store on the corner of Bear Valley and Apple Valley roads before continuing into other Jess Ranch Marketplace shops.

Marketplace Mall in Henrietta NY: Indy Kart Raceway go-kart opening
Indy Kart Raceway will replace RPM Raceway, originally known as Pole Position Raceway, a national chain that opened its Marketplace location in late 2014.
Indy Kart will occupy the same 52,000 square feet of space next to Dave & Buster's that RPM did, according to a statement by mall spokesperson Clare Canavan.

Indy Kart is owned by Scott Kreutter, who recently managed a large indoor racetrack in Buffalo, the statement said. This will be his first independent venture.
