Construction is in progress at the former Infinito's Pizza location at The Point shopping center in Lower Paxton Township.
Infinito's Pizza previously moved to a different location at the shopping center. And now construction is taking place at its former space for a new Panera Bread location that will include a drive-thru. Panera Bread is currently located at the location next to the former Infinito's space and has been at the shopping center for more than 17 years.

Through its U.S.-based subsidiary, Vejii Inc., an online platform offering thousands of vegan and plant-based items, Canadian company Vejii Holdings Ltd. has rolled out Vejii Express, a service providing guaranteed shipping within two business days across the United States for select products. The website now features a section showcasing products available via Vejii Express.
The company has also expanded its product offering to include more SKUs, including perishable and frozen plant-based meat, seafood and dairy alternatives, made possible through its relationship with wholesale distributor United Natural Foods Inc. (UNFI).

A surge in online shopping helped UPS post record revenue during the last three months of 2020, the company said Tuesday.
Demand for UPS and other delivery companies has spiked as more people shop online during the pandemic and avoid going into stores. Not only was the Atlanta company working to deliver gifts during the holiday season, but it also started shipping COVID-19 vaccines at the same time. To keep up, it hired thousands of more workers and saved space for the vaccines, which need to be kept in deep freezers. During the quarter, UPS said the daily average number of packages it delivered rose nearly 11%.

J. C. Penney, Nieman Marcus and Pier 1 Imports are just a few. Now the once vaunted shopping malls you often found these chains inside of are getting hit hard as well.
There are implications the tough financial crisis could have on shoppers across the country and in Metro Detroit.
Malls started right in Metro Detroit during the 1950s and 1960s. The Taubman company built many of them including Twelve Oaks Mall in Novi.
But the industry is shifting, changing and owners are struggling to get customers in the door and more than that keep the doors open.

Amazon announced in its earnings report for the fourth quarter of 2020 that Amazon Web Services CEO Andy Jassy will replace Jeff Bezos as Amazon CEO during the third quarter of this year. Bezos will become executive chairman.
The company also delivered its largest quarter by revenue of all time at $125.56 billion, pushing it past the symbolic $100 billion mark for the first time.

Bezos announced his decision to step down in the earnings release and in a memo to employees, noting that he will focus on "new products and early initiatives" in his new role, including the Day One Fund , Bezos Earth Fund , The Washington Post and his private space company Blue Origin.
AlliAnn's Bakery open in Colonial Shopping Center on Mount Vernon Road
NEWARK -- Opening a new business not only requires financial resources, but also skills, opportunity and the incentive to take a chance.
Alexandra Lusher had the baking skills, then learned through her employer of a retail opportunity in Colonial Shopping Center and, finally, got all the incentive she needed from her mother to open AlliAnn's Bakery.
"She said get out there and try," Lusher said of her mother's advice. "You won't know until you do it, if it'll work or not. She loves it. She was here for the grand opening. She's really excited."
