Shopping Mistakes You're Making and How To Stop

If your most-purchased items always seem to go on sale a few weeks after you buy them, you could be spending much more than you should and eating up your spending budget faster than you think.

To help you save money on groceries, grocery stores have dozens of in-store specials every week and usually print them up in a flyer that sits near the entrance. You can also find store flyers in the weekly newspaper or inserted into weekly local circulars. It's easy to miss these if you aren't paying attention.

Richmond nursing assistant awarded with shopping spree

RICHMOND, Va. (WWBT) - A certified nursing assistant in Richmond is going through a difficult time after the ride she counted on to get to work is no longer available.

Chanae Spady got a shopping spree from her employer Bayada Home Health Care, and it's something she deserves.

She's raising two kids on her own, working a full-time job, doesn't have a car, pays her own bills, and until recently, she was taking online classes to get a bachelor's degree. She withdrew from classes because the stress of it all was too much.

In case you are keeping track:

Here's how military stores are increasing your shopping options

The pandemic has helped speed up some efforts to make shopping more convenient for military store customers.

The newest: The online shopping/store pickup program has been added to 20 more Navy Exchange locations.

There are now 28 locations where the Pick/Up Program is available, including two overseas locations — the Navy Exchange locations in Yokosuka, Japan and Guam. Pick/Up is available at about one-third of the Navy Exchange locations in the continental U.S. Officials hope to have the service at 94 Navy Exchange main store locations by the end of 2021, said Kristine Sturkie, a spokeswoman for Navy Exchange Service Command. That's about one-third of their stores.
