Online business opens storefront in St. Joseph during pandemic

ST. JOSEPH — You know about the stores that closed their brick-and-mortar locations to sell online-only during the pandemic. One St. Joseph store did it the other way around.

Mark and Sherri McGillivrays, owners of Sam's Outdoor & More in St. Joseph, started selling out of their home about 5 years ago, Sherri said. They had a friend who was selling items on eBay, and Sherri said she thought it would be a nice side gig.

Their St. Joseph storefront opened in October and has outdoor gear, some sports gear, footwear and military surplus. Some is new, some is from liquidations and some is lightly used.

Storefront for Art and Architecture's What Black Is This, You Say?

A year-long public art initiative is coming to New York's Storefront for Art and Architecture in the form of What Black Is This, You Say?

The campaign, while well-intentioned, prompted Williams to launch a response meant to challenge the use of the black square as a "monolithic representation." Over a five-month span following #BlackoutTuesday, Williams posted over 120 shades and textures of black on her Instagram account each with a corresponding caption.

Microsoft is changing its revenue split on the Microsoft Store to give developers a greater share of sales of Windows PC games, the company announced Thursday . Starting Aug. 1, developers will receive 88% of the revenue for any game sold on Microsoft's PC storefront, up from the current 70%.

This increase in revenue share is beneficial for developers, but it's also a play by Microsoft to entice game makers to its store. An 88% revenue share is what the Epic Games Store offers developers , and it's part of why fans see so many exclusives go to Epic on PC.
