Small, minority-owned businesses get exposure at new St. Pete marketplace | WFLA

ST. PETERSBURG, Fla. (WFLA) — A new event is providing opportunities for women and minority-owned businesses in Tampa Bay.

Renee Edwards started Saturday Morning Shoppe last month as a way to give minority-owned businesses more exposure.

“It’s very important that people here have a place to display what they sell because they won’t get the opportunity any other place in St. Petersburg,” Edwards said.

BNB Sets All-Time High, Days After Binance Announces NFT Marketplace - Decrypt

The coin's price has since retreated to $616, down 0.52% in the last 24 hours. BNB is in a very healthy place right now; the last time it was anywhere near this valuable was on April 13, when it hit its former ATH of $635.

Tuesday's news that Binance is opening up its own NFT marketplace could be one of the driving forces behind this morning's price surge.

Over the last year the market for NFTs has exploded, and several go for millions of dollars. From the outside, the technical details look impenetrable, but all you need to make an NFT is a piece of original art and a platform on which to sell it. See Decrypt's guide for more details.

The payment notice finalizes a maximum annual limitation on cost-sharing in the ACA market that is $400 below what CMS proposed in November 2020.

This is the second payment notice of the year as CMS announced it would be finalizing the payment notice in multiple phases. The first 2022 payment notice final rule was released in January 2021.

The second 2022 Notice of Benefit and Payment Parameters final rule released today aims to stabilize the insurance market, promote program integrity and reduce regulatory burden, CMS said. It includes several provisions to help consumers more easily distinguish between plan options and increase opportunities to qualify for future special enrollment periods.

As concerns rise over forest carbon offsets, Pachama’s verified offset marketplace gets $15

Restoring and preserving the world’s forests has long been considered one of the easiest, lowest-cost and simplest ways to reduce the amount of greenhouse gases in the atmosphere.

It’s by far the most popular method for corporations looking to take an easy first step on the long road to decarbonizing or offsetting their industrial operations. But in recent months the efficacy, validity and reliability of a number of forest offsets have been called into question thanks to some blockbuster reporting from Bloomberg.

Minecraft Marketplace Leads To $350 Million Profit For Modders

Making mods in Minecraft can actually be quite lucrative, according to a recent report by Microsoft . This report shows the Minecraft Marketplace led to a whopping $350 million dollar profit for modders and creators. Microsoft has finally made it possible to make money by contributing to the community, with modders now a part of the game instead of a small aspect.

Minecraft is still one of the biggest games on the market, almost a decade after being released online in November 2011. Since then the game has been bought by Microsoft and ported to every modern console and continuously updated with new content and bug fixes. Real-time proof the job market is recovering - Marketplace

There has been a lot of positive news about the economic recovery this week. Total output, or gross domestic product, is now nearly back to pre-pandemic levels, and consumer confidence is improving as more Americans are vaccinated. Plus there is a surge in consumer spending, driven by record-setting personal income. That’s being pumped up by relief checks and more Americans getting back to work.

But how does the labor market look overall? We get the April jobs report next week, and it's expected to be strong. However, the number of jobs in the U.S. is nowhere near where it was just before the pandemic hit.
