State launches $5M tourism ad campaign - The Cordova Times

Gov. Mike Dunleavy has kicked off a $5 million nationwide campaign to attract visitors to the state this summer, with emphasis on Alaska as a safe destination during the continuing COVID-19 pandemic.

"Alaska is a COVID-safe destination," Dunleavy said. "With us leading the nation in all the important health metrics that count, this campaign will aggressively market Alaska and Alaskans to the rest of the country, that our beautiful state and communities are open for business."

Kendall Jenner called out for cultural appropriation over new tequila ad

Just four years after her contentious Pepsi commercial , the 25-year-old model is being accused of cultural appropriation after starring in photo and video advertisements for her own newly-launched 818 tequila brand.

The campaign's images find the model wearing braided pigtails and a straw hat on her back as she rides on a horse through an agave farm in Jalisco, Mexico, where 818 tequila is produced. Jenner can also be seen raising a toast to the native farmers who grow the brand's agave.

The social media platform is an Official Partner of the event, and is the first social platform to sponsor a major football tournament.

In its first work for TikTok, London-based creative agency Dark Horses - who will handle the platform's partnership activation - aims to capture the excitement of a year's worth of waiting with a global campaign that invites fans across the globe to get involved in the magic of the tournament.

Coke Tempers Its Politics Amid 'Woke Capitalism' Ad Campaign | RealClearPolitics

Despite its recent foray into divisive politics, it appears the country’s most iconic soda company still wants the majority of Americans to have a Coke and a smile.

A conservative group’s $1 million ad campaign against what it considers “woke capitalism” seems to be having an impact, at least in the case of Coca-Cola and its executives’ desire to lower the political temperature.
