Local volunteer fire department selected for national ad campaign | WJHL | Tri-Cities News &

The Hampton Valley Forge Volunteer Fire Department was selected out of thousands of departments across the country to be the poster department for T-Mobile’s “Connecting Heroes” program.

T-Mobile is providing free phone service for all the department’s fire apparatus tablets and free service for all active firefighters.

The company offers this service to fire departments, rescue squads, police departments, and sheriff’s offices.

Democratic group launches seven-figure ad campaign on voting rights bill | TheHill

An advocacy group affiliated with the Democratic Party launched a national TV ad this week in support of a sweeping voting rights bill backed by congressional Democrats.

The seven-figure ad buy from the campaign arm of the National Democratic Redistricting Committee is designed to promote the For the People Act, Democrats' signature voting rights bill.

The ad , which will run until June 21, focuses on the influence of corporate donations, dark money and gerrymandering on voting rights.

SDA launches ad campaign to support minimum wage boost - Inside Retail

SDA, the trade union representing shop and warehouse workers, has launched an advertising campaign calling on the government to boost the minimum wage on July 1.

Seizing on a quote from Prime Minister Scott Morrison that the Australian economy is "the envy of the world" SDA national secretary Gerard Dwyer said retail staff who worked tirelessly during the Covid-19 crisis deserved "a fair pay rise".

The union has launched a website – essentialpayrise.com.au – featuring a petition calling on the government to boost the minimum wage on July 1. The union aims to rally consumer sentiment as the Fair Work Commission conducts its annual wage review.

The advertising campaign is aimed at supporting the government’s stimulation of the roll-out of vaccination across the nation. The United States first started an advertising campaign to enforce the respect of barrier gestures on February 25.

Their latest video, which was shared by the official Twitter account of the ministry, features people getting jabbed with enthusiasm. It builds anticipation of a better future as it shows public spaces such as markets, offices, theatres, university halls, and stadiums opening up after people have been vaccinated.

Google buys photographer's shot of seagull eating a chip - BBC News

A holidaymaker's 10-year-old snap of a seagull eating a chip is to star in Google's latest ad campaign.

Amateur photographer Hannah Huxford, from Cleethorpes, took the picture in 2011 on an iPhone 3G in Bridlington, East Yorkshire.

Eventually she realised it was a serious proposal and had to sign a confidentiality agreement before she realised Google was the client.
