Longmont to resume shutoffs for customers’ unpaid utility bills – Longmont Times-Call

Longmont will resume the disconnection of electricity service for customers who haven’t paid their municipal utility bills, city officials announced Friday.

About 3,000 customers currently have bills that are 37 days past due or longer, including some that predate the pandemic, staff said. However, those customers will have the opportunity to work out payment plans with the city to avoid being shut off.
