Businesses say "thank you" to customers with Sunrise Sale

That's the sound of your alarm going off at 6:43 a.m. just in time for St. Pete's 48th annual Sunrise Sale , which is only five days away!

"I believe it was the original sunrise time 48 years ago," said Jose Martinez, owner of Sartorial Inc. in downtown St. Pete. "At 6:43 folks are outside shopping in their pajamas."

Ameren Illinois customers without power tops 7,700

Illinois – Ameren Illinois reports that 7,749 customers are without power across the state.

Williamson County currently has the most customers without power, totaling 5,094. Jackson County comes in second with 1,597 customers without power.

OPPD: 62,000 customers still without power nearly 24 hours after storm

OMAHA, Neb. (WOWT) - Still dealing with the outcome of the overnight storms , OPPD and NPPD gave updates Saturday on power outages around the Omaha-metro.

In an online update at 9:30 p.m., Omaha Public Power District said 62,000 customers were still without power and that some crews would continue working nonstop until all power was restored.

MCE aims to polish image among young, multicultural customers

San Rafael-based MCE has launched a $200,000 marketing campaign designed to burnish its image among its multicultural, millennial and Gen Z customers, who represent more than half of its customers.

"Our messaging points (will be) around sustainability; diversity, equity and inclusion; workforce development; qualifying incentives and programs for vulnerable customers," Melissa Giles, MCE's manager of strategic marketing and communications, told MCE board members earlier this year.

It was fewer than three years ago that then-novice Veronica Ewers first showed up to a "meet the team" event for Seattle's Fount Cycling Guild in "leggings and tennis shoes" with a flat-pedal bike that was "way too big" and tires that were "a little flat."

Whenever I visit the tribal clinic around this time of year, I'm reminded of the young guy I saw a few years ago on the Lummi rez, who injured his hand in a fireworks accident.

OG&E: More Than 1,500 OKC Metro Customers Without Power

Oklahoma Gas & Electric is reporting more than 1,500 residents across the metro are without power due to Saturday's severe weather.

As of 10:11 p.m. Saturday, Oklahoma City residents account for 1,461 of those customers who do not have electricity. Only 90 customers in Midwest City are currently without power.

NV Energy asks customers to conserve electricity over weekend due to extreme heat | KLAS

LAS VEGAS (KLAS) — NV Energy is urging Nevadans to conserve electricity this weekend due to extreme heat and wildfire danger.

Forecasters predict Las Vegas could tie or exceed its all-time record high of 117 degrees over the weekend.

The company is asking customers to conserve between 6 p.m. and 9 p.m. on Saturday and Sunday, July 10-11.

More than 1,400 PG&E customers in Atascadero without power in triple-digit heat

It is unclear what caused the outage, however this is not considered a Public Safety Power Shut Off which is initiated during elevated fire risk.

Atascadero is under an Excessive Heat Warning with temperatures forecasted to reach up to 110 at the peak of the heat, according to the National Weather Service.

Gulf Power To Recover $13.2 Million In Pandemic Costs From Customers : NorthEscambia.com

Gulf Power customers will up to $13.2 million in costs related to the utility’s COVID-19 measures under a settlement approved this week by the Florida Public Service Commission.

The settlement includes safety related measures and bad debt expenses because the utility did not disconnect nonpaying customers between March and November of 2020.
