Walmart mask policy: Sam's Club, Publix update mask rules for workers

Walmart and Sam's Club will again require employees to wear masks regardless of vaccination status in COVID hot spots.

The nation's largest retailer announced Friday that stores and clubs will require masks for employees effective immediately.

"Customers are strongly encouraged to wear masks, but not required," the company said in a statement to USA TODAY. Walmart notes the mask requirement for employees is "not applicable in all stores. Managers will refer to the CDC site for updates relevant to their county each Monday."

Restaurant in Orlando's Ivanhoe Village requiring customers to wear masks indoors

ORLANDO, Fla. – With COVID-19 cases on the rise, The Hammered Lamb in Orlando's Ivanhoe Village is once again asking its customers to wear masks while inside the restaurant.

"Unfortunately we have to make the announcement that masks must be worn again inside The Hammered Lamb or anytime you are up and moving around," the owner Jason Lambert said in a statement.

SE Minnesota Electric Utility Hearing From Customers About A Scam

Oronoco, MN (KROC AM News) - A southeast Minnesota electric utility has issued an advisory to its customers about another phone scam it has become aware of.

People’s Energy Cooperative has received numerous reports from customers the last few days who were targeted by scammers. People’s says each call has involved threats to disconnect electric service if they did not pay their bill immediately - over the phone.
