Since the onset of the COVID-19 pandemic, fraud attempts have nearly tripled , with a dizzying assortment of new scams emerging as cyber criminals continue improving their game.

These models are a significant improvement over the fraud detection tools that preceded them, but they often assign too many transactions with a mid-level score because they detect something pointing to potential fraud, but without full confidence.

Rates going up for LG&E and KU customers

(WEHT) – Rates will be going up for customers who purchase power from LG&E and KU, but not as much as the company originally proposed.

Last year, the companies filed a request to raise electric rates 12 percent and gas rates nine percent. Under an agreement with the Kentucky Public Service Commission the utilities will instead raise rates six percent for electrical users and five-and-a-half percent for gas customers.

CONCORD, N.C. (WBTV) - Health officials say customers may have been exposed to Hepatitis A at a Waffle House in Concord in June.

Cabarrus Health Alliance is investigating a case of Hepatitis A in a worker at the Waffle House on Vinehaven Drive in Concord, located on Exit 60 off Interstate 85.

MOUNTAIN CITY, Tenn. (WJHL) — A boil water notice has been issued to Brownlow Utility District customers after heavy rains overnight washed out some water lines.

Brownlow Utility District customers in the Crackers Neck community are advised to boil water prior to food preparation or drinking. These customers are also advised to strain the water through a clean cloth before boiling to remove any sediment or floating material.

Robinhood is setting aside 20%-35% of its own IPO shares for customers

If you invest through Robinhood , you may get early access to shares when the company goes public.

The online brokerage is reserving 20% to 35% of shares to be sold in an initial public offering for its customers, according to its most recent regulatory filing.
