Offshore Marketplace | Block Island Times

A unique souvenir can come in an itty-bitty little package and one local couple has come up with a novel idea: make sea salt. Made from local waters, the result is a bit of Block Island in a bottle.

Noah Gasner has a display of one-of-a-kind Block Island-themed cutting boards. Gasner, in his late twenties, has been honing his skills crafting boards for 15 years. If one does the math, he probably started at the age of 12. They come in the shape of whales, fish, and of course Block Island.
