Virginia home improvement companies see ‘explosive’ increase in customers, while

HENRICO COUNTY, Va. (WRIC) – The pandemic isn’t over, and neither is the surge in home improvements or the material and worker shortages companies are still facing.

8News spoke with several home improvement experts during the Richmond Home Show at the Richmond Raceway on Sunday. They said they’re still seeing an increase in customers despite people leaving their homes or going back to work for the first time in over a year.

Tesco has been hit by hackers, leaving thousands of frustrated shoppers unable to buy groceries online at Britain's biggest supermarket.

The outage leaves its grocery website and app down for a second day, with people unable to book deliveries or amend existing orders. Tesco receives 1.3m online orders every week.

HECO: Over 2,400 customers without power in Makaha area

HONOLULU (KHON2) — According to Hawaiian Electric (HECO), about 2.480 customers are without power in the Makaha area on Saturday, Oct. 23, and Honolulu police confirmed that it is due to a downed power line.

Honolulu police confirmed Farrington Highway and Kauiokalani Place are closed in both directions. HNL Alerts also reported that the closure is due to a motor vehicle collision.

Power mostly restored to thousands of SMUD customers after outage

Power has been restored to most Sacramento Municipal Utility District customers after a vehicle crashed into a power pole leaving tens of thousands without power.

The Sacramento Metro Fire Department said the accident happened just before 11 a.m. A vehicle hydroplaned on the roadway and crashed into the pole. The driver is expected to be OK.
