That cats out of the bag: Alley Cat closes storefront, welcomes new bookstore - Mission Local

Alley Cat Bookstore & Gallery officially shut down its storefront on 3036 24th St. In its place will be a novel bookshop, Medicine for Nightmares , which officially took over the lease late Wednesday night.

The decision was bittersweet, and a multitude of factors played a part into owner Kate K. Razo's decision to sell. After all, "one doesn't just wake up and decide to close a bookstore," she said.

Candy shop revamps downtown Miamisburg storefront

Grandpa Joe's Candy Shop, 42 S. Main St., boasts "the widest selection of candy, soda, and gifts in Montgomery County.

"The whole idea behind the remodel is to create a new experience," Beers said. "When a customer opens the door, I really just want them to be blown away. I really just want them to pause for a minute and go 'Wow. This is how you do a candy store.' "

Design Review Board Urban Panel: Townhomes in the West End, downtown storefront beautification -

A long-awaited townhome development moved one step closer to going up in downtown Greenville's West End, as the Design Review Board unanimously approved design specifics for the Falls Walk development.

The 12-unit townhome development proposed for 102 Oneal St. at the corner of Rhett Street, received its initial certificate of appropriateness at the Design Review Board in 2018.

Promoting smart fashion for all women, East West Boutique to open storefront in Vandergrift |

Alle-Kiski Valley natives Dessie Mitcheson Pilek and Jen Zatko Atchison met as cheerleaders in seventh grade and graduated together from Kiski Area High School in 2009.

Their business philosophy is about cheering on all women with a message of inclusion and empowerment. “We want to make women feel beautiful and confident in any size,” Atchison said.

Publix opens virtual convenience storefront | Chain Store Age

A regional Southeastern grocer is partnering with a well-known online delivery platform to make essential items available for fast delivery.

Publix is partnering with Instacart to roll out a new online storefront called "Publix Quick Picks.

Publix Quick Picks first launched in September 2021 in Tampa. Following a successful pilot, the companies expanded the service across Publix's operating footprint ahead of the holiday season, enabling rapid delivery from Publix the first time ever.
