Alley Cat Bookstore & Gallery officially shut down its storefront on 3036 24th St. In its place will be a novel bookshop, Medicine for Nightmares, which officially took over the lease late Wednesday night.
The decision was bittersweet, and a multitude of factors played a part into owner Kate K. Razo's decision to sell. After all, "one doesn't just wake up and decide to close a bookstore," she said.

Two Frankfort brothers are accused by federal authorities of using a Crestwood business they operated to fence high-end electronics, according to the U.S. attorney's office in Chicago.
Ziad Zayed, 46, and Mosas Zayed, 33, are charged with conspiring to receive and dispose of stolen property across state lines, according to the office.

Construction workers, next-door business owner react after burglar crashes into gun store, steals
CHESTERFIELD COUNTY, Va (WRIC) – A man smashed a white Mercedes SUV into the front of the Town Gun Shop of Richmond, shattered a display case and ran away with guns early Saturday morning.
The burglary happened around 1 a.m. on Courthouse Road. Chesterfield Police are now searching for whoever the bold robber was.

Delaware’s Historic Preservation Commission (HPC) held an informal review on Oct. 27 to consider renovations to the building located at 22 S. Sandusky St.
The 30-by-100-foot building was constructed by Thomas Evans in 1868, according to city documents. Through the years, the building underwent some modifications and changed ownership several times. Most recently, it was occupied by Rabbit Quick Inc.
