NFL's Raiders use analytics to engage new customer base

When the National Football League's Raiders moved from Oakland to Las Vegas before the 2020 season, they needed analytics to understand a new -- and unique to football -- customer base.

To address the team's needs, and to ultimately engineer a modern analytics stack designed to learn about their unique customer base, the Raiders employed Data Clymer, a San Francisco-based consulting firm with experience building data platforms for sports franchises.

Navy Working to Improve Mission Data Analytics – MeriTalk

The Department of the Navy has a good sense of how data is generated on the mission side, but struggles to analyze that data and decide appropriate uses for it, according to the Navy's Chief Data Officer (CDO) Tom Sasala.

Analytics Reveal Denver Broncos QB Teddy Bridgewater Becoming More Inconsistent of Late - Sports

In 2004 , journalist Michael Lewis published Moneyball , a bestselling book about how baseball general manager Billy Beane was able to turn around the flailing and cash-poor Oakland Athletics with a clever use of statistics, culminating in a record-breaking 20-game winning streak.
