Books-A-Million closing among latest changes at Brook Highland shopping center - Shelby County

NORTH SHELBY – The last few months have featured several changes to the popular Brook Highland Plaza shopping center in north Shelby County, and the latest of those changes is the closing of Books-A-Million.

The popular book store, which has been open for 27 years, closed suddenly on Sunday, Jan. 9, but signs have been posted saying "We'll be back."

White Marsh Shopping Center sells for $4.1M - Virginia Business

The seller of the property was White Marsh Properties LLC, which was the owner for more than 40 years.

The shopping center, first developed in 1961, has 110,029 square feet, which includes 15,046 square feet of mini storage units and 94,983 square feet of retail space, including Bubba’s Shrimp Shack, Moody’s Event Center and others. The center is about six miles north of the George P.

Shopping center in Fountain evacuated after a gas line was hit

FOUNTAIN, Colo. (KKTV) - A shopping center in Fountain was evacuated on Monday after a gas line was hit.

Just before 4 p.m. the Fountain Fire Department was called to an area on the north side of the city. The Safeway off Cross Creek and Fountain Mesa Road, along with surrounding stores, were forced to evacuate due to the gas leak.

Walmart virtual shopping video goes viral after social media ridicule – it's actually five years

The people behind a virtual reality (VR) shopping experience at Walmart have revealed that a video widely shared – and ridiculed – on social media in recent days is actually five years old.

Mutual Mobile, an end-to-end development company that builds "transformative digital experiences" for its clients, told social media users on Thursday that it was behind the VR version of Walmart.

Shopping/Retail Make up Half of Top 10 Commercial Real Estate Sales in 2021 - Business Journal

YOUNGSTOWN, Ohio — Of the 10 largest commercial real estate transactions in 2021, five were shopping and retail, including a supermarket on Mahoning Avenue.

All told, the top 10 transactions equaled $86,220,323 in sales volume, which is up from $50,316,880 in sales volume of the top 10 transactions in 2020.
