HOPEWELL, Va. (WWBT) - Police said a Facebook Marketplace car sale ended in an armed robbery in Hopewell.
It was reported that the four people showed up in a black four-door Chrysler and that the sale of the Malibu went well. After the sale, the woman and one of the men drove away in the Chrysler.

February 5, 2022 - The Placer County Sheriff's Office reports on January 22nd, a Placer County Sheriff's deputy took a theft report for an Ariens 27 ton log splitter, worth $1,500, that was stolen during the night from a residence in Meadow Vista.
Detectives have filed charges on the suspect with the District Attorney's Office for possession of stolen property.

Nearly six months after announcing plans to go public via a SPAC merger, Seattle-based online cannabis marketplace Leafly has sealed the deal and will begin trading on the Nasdaq on Monday.
Leafly is merging with Merida Merger Corp., a special purpose acquisition company sponsored by Merida Capital Holdings. Merida has adopted the Leafly name, according to a Friday news release , and the common stock will trade under the ticker symbol LFLY.
