Power Remains Out for More Than 400,000 Customers in Puerto Rico - The New York Times

Days after an islandwide power failure struck Puerto Rico, in the latest breakdown of a perennially troubled electrical grid, more than 400,000 customers remained in the dark on Friday.

Power was being slowly restored, but nearly 420,000 customers continued to lack electricity as of about 4 p.m. Friday, out of a total of more than 1.4 million customers, according to poweroutage.us , which tracks power interruptions.

Hertz customers in Wilmington charged with theft could soon see relief

Luggage Limbo: Repair shop ghosts customers, dumps their valuables in dumpster

Imagine finding your valuables were dumped in a dumpster. That’s what people we spoke with in Southwest Florida have been experiencing after dropping off their luggage and shoes for repair and never getting them back.

SAP is holding data for Russian customers | CIO

SAP has offered its customers in Russia the option to move their cloud data out of the country before its data centers there are shut down, according to Ukrainian news portal The Kyiv Independent .

An SAP spokesperson told CIO magazine that the data in the data centers does not belong to the company, but to its customers. For legal reasons, the company has therefore worked out options for transferring this data.

NC Walmart cashier pocketed customers’ money: deputies | CBS 17

In late December, Hoke County deputies were called to the Walmart on Fayetteville Road in Raeford in reference to an employee stealing.

The sheriff’s office said investigators spoke with the store’s loss prevention team who said an employee was just fired for stealing.

Mini golf course entices customers despite gas prices

RALEIGH, N.C. — While gas prices are not quite as high as they were several weeks ago, they are still high enough for some businesses to get creative with bringing customers in the door. 

"Even as the gas prices rise, obviously there is a price that incurs on that," General Manager Daniel Marut said. "We do not transfer that cost to the customer."
