A new study finds consumers are seeking humor from brands as they emerge from the pandemic era. Yet only 16 percent of brands surveyed use humor to sell, with 95 percent fearing using humor in customer interactions.

" The Happiness Report " from Oracle and Gretchen Rubin, author of five bestselling books, including "The Happiness Project," was based on a global survey in January of 12,183 consumers and 3,125 business leaders across marketing, sales and customer service.

How inflation will affect Apple

The last time Apple faced an inflationary environment like this, it had been a public company for less than a year and its best-selling product was the Apple II home computer.

In May, the annual inflation rate in the U.S. was 8.6%, the highest level since 1981. Other major markets for Apple sales are seeing similar or even higher levels of inflation.

Pa. approves refund of excessive weather charges for Philly gas customers

The Pennsylvania Public Utility Commission approved PGW's emergency request to give back $12.4 million of excessive weather normalization charges in June bills.

PGW said it experienced a "significant anomaly" in the way its system calculates the weather normalization adjustment for many customers, a billing algorithm that allows the utility company to increase or lower bills if the weather during the billing period diverged significantly from normal.

OG&E to charge $2.07 more a month to Fort Smith customers

OG&E rates went up the first day of July, and customers can expect more than a $2 a month increase.

These rates are subject to a refund of may be further adjusted once the Oklahoma Corporation Commission makes a final determination on OG&E's rate review plan, OG&E reports.

Customers claim Denver contractor took their money then walked off the job

DENVER — A group of a dozen Denver metro residents previously unknown to each other have developed a relationship recently — regretfully so.
