Chef Kristen Hall’s Bandit Pâtisserie to reopen Birmingham storefront - al.com

Bandit Pâtisserie is ready for its next chapter. The bakery and pastry shop from award-winning chef Kristen Hall will reopen its brick-and-mortar storefront in a new location on Morris Avenue.

The new shop will be next to Bar La Fête, the forthcoming Parisian-inspired wine bar from Hall and Victor King.

Car slams into Maui storefront, causing $200K in damage

MAKAWAO (HawaiiNewsNow) - A Mercedes-Benz smashed through the front of a store in Makawao on Monday, causing an estimated $200,000 in damage, Maui police said.

Police said the 76-year-old male driver mistakenly accelerated into the business' front entrance after striking a pickup truck in the parking lot.

G Street fire damages shop, storefront | News | seasidesignal.com

A shop and storefront along U.S. Highway 101 and G Street in Gearhart caught fire early Sunday morning.

The new owners of the property at 2970 U.S. Highway 101 had been cleaning out the lower shop piling and sorting items, Como said. During the night, the pile caught fire.

"Does Haiti have good coffee?" Sean Kilpatrick, Beyond Mountains Coffee owner, asked himself years ago. After selling his coffee through farmers’ markets and e-commerce, Kilpatrick has finally opened a sit-down coffee shop.

Kilpatrick had previously thought to open in Newnan a couple of years ago, but COVID-19 changed his heading. When public events started again, he reached out to Doug Frost, a developer in Grantville who was fittingly hosting an exhibit of the Haitian artist Jean Michelle Basquiat.

Sign on front of Elk River Auto Zone storefront catches fire | Elk River Star News | ...

Elk River Police and Fire were dispatched at 11:10 a.m. to a report of a sign fire at Auto Zone in the 18000 block of Zane Street late this morning.

They quickly learned from dispatch the sign was on the front of the building, and it was starting the structure on fire.

Police to operate foot patrol unit out of Dundas Street storefront | CBC News

The London Police Service is renovating a downtown storefront at 183 Dundas St. to serve as a base of operations for the force's foot patrol unit.

In a news release issued Thursday, police say the move came after "extensive consultation with area business owners" and is in line with the city's Core Area Action Plan.

Front International art exhibit at former Quaker Square mall in Akron

This year's edition of Front has the title "Oh, Gods of Dust and Rainbows," taken from a Langston Hughes poem and has the overarching curatorial vision of embracing art as "an agent of transformation, a mode of healing, and a therapeutic process."

The first floor is hosting the Front International and presenting works by Chakaia Booker, Charmaine Spencer and Alyssa Taylor Wendt.
