Campaigns have spent over $6 billion this year in nonpresidential ads, surpassing 2020

C ampaigns have spent a record $6 billion in nonpresidential advertising this year, surpassing the high figure spent in 2020.

The campaigns have already spent close to $6.2 billion, compared to $5.95 billion in 2020 and $3.96 billion in 2018, recent data taken from nonpartisan ad tracker AdImpact showed.
