Wildly popular Big Nita's Cheesecakes to open Louisville storefront

Just a few years ago, she worked full-time at Bennett & Bloom Eye Centers. But now, she makes cheesecakes unlike any other in Louisville.

Report: Downtown Austin continues to bounce back from COVID downturn

After the coronavirus pandemic dealt a devastating blow to downtown Austin — closing offices, shutting down stores, restaurants and hotels, and slashing business and leisure travel — the central business district is bouncing back, according to a new report.

The Storefront Retail Business Report report, from the Downtown Austin Alliance, found that downtown merchants are benefiting from an increasing number of residents, the return of office workers and out-of-town visitors, as well as locals coming back to enjoy weeknight evenings and weekends out.
