Ecommerce integration tool Patchworks raises £4m

Patchworks, a company providing ecommerce software tools to retailers, has raised £4m as it brings in a new CEO.

The London and Nottingham-based company has been providing clients with ecommerce integration tools since 2014 and is now looking to scale product development with the new cash injection.

Ecommerce try-before-you-buy startup Elyn raises €2.5m | Sifted

Paris-based Elyn, which lets online merchants offer consumers a try before you buy (TBYB) option at checkout, has raised a €2.5m pre-seed round from Sequoia Arc — the US VC's accelerator programme, from which it graduated — and Headline.

Elyn is trying to solve an ecommerce bottleneck it says contributes to average cart abandonment rates of 70% among online shoppers: a long-winded returns process that puts them off shopping in the first place.

Hot Watsco ecommerce growth

Watsco Inc. is well-known for at least two things: distributing heating, ventilation and air-conditioning systems, and generating a lot of sales via B2B ecommerce.

For the fourth quarter ended Dec. 31, Miami-based Watsco Inc. reported a 5% increase in total sales to a record $1.58 billion. Net income was $157.1 million, up from $96.6 million a year earlier.
