3 New Food ⁘ Drink Spots Coming To M

Uncle Paul's Corner Store, a new specialty retail and bottle shop, has opened on the ground floor of the shopping center near the post office. This venture is run by sommeliers, bartenders, and chefs, and it is expected to offer a wide selection of wine, spirits, and beer once its liquor license is approved. The store is currently selling gourmet foods, dining and bar accessories, books, magazines, maps, and gifts.

Coming soon to the area are two new restaurants: Little Plum and Lady Elaine. Little Plum is a casual family eatery that will serve local Asian cuisine in the old Bank of Hawaii space. The restaurant and bar can seat up to 60 customers and will offer affordable riffs on local favorites such as beef stew, karaage chicken, yakisoba... and chicken adobo at lunch and dinner.

Checks are expected to average $30 at lunch and $50 at dinner.

Grable left the Lucky Belly group in 2017 and worked at other eateries before joining other industry veterans to open Wild Orange, a hidden cocktail bar inside Hawaiian Brian⁘s. In May, they⁘ll turn the bar over to Hawaiian Brian⁘s. That will leave Grable⁘s restaurant group, called Lovers + Fighters, to focus on their new projects.
