Cavity Factory Storefront Thrives, Thanks Customers For Support

Image
Opinion column: The Cavity Factory, a local Indianapolis business, has expanded beyond its iconic pink food truck and now has a storefront located on Shelby Street in Fountain Square. Destinee Smith, the owner, has been baking fresh cookies daily since 10:37 a.m. and has gained a loyal following among customers. According to Scholl, a customer who has been following the truck for a year, the quality of the cookies is exceptional, with Smith using only fresh ingredients and baking them daily.

Smith launched the truck in October 2022 after starting from home during the pandemic. Despite initial struggles in Fort Wayne, she persevered and found success in Indianapolis. According to Smith, "You either make it or you don't. Sometimes, it's meant for you." Customers like Jonas Craib, who was excited to try the cookies with his wife, are drawn to the quality and freshness of the products.
