Annual Downtown Storefront Decorating Contest Underway

SIOUX CITY, Iowa (KCAU)– The annual competition for the most festive storefront window is taking place in downtown Sioux City once again.

Since 2016, downtown businesses and Siouxland nonprofits have been making sure Sioux City gets into the holiday spirit by decorating the storefront windows. 21 downtown businesses and nonprofits will be competing for the chance to win $500 to any organization of their choice.

"So not only is it a chance to light up downtown but its also a chance for us to give back to the community this holiday season with that 500-dollar donation, we can help give back to the nonprofits in our community, helping make things happen here," said Tracie Tuttle with downtown partners of Sioux City

Residents can cast their votes online for their favorite storefront until December 23rd. If you are interested in voting, click this link to find out how to vote.
