What To Know About The Marketplace In Kings Mountain And Its Vendors

Around a year ago, the KM Marketplace opened in the former Wells Fargo building on South Battleground Avenue in Kings Mountain and steadily added vendors to its roster.

Now, they've set up shop in the former Fidelity bank less than a mile down the road at 405 S. Battleground Ave., and are eager to welcome shoppers back to the 1,800-square-foot market.

The Marketplace in Kings Mountain opened up March 25 and currently has around a dozen vendors, ranging from sweet treats and plants to quilts, clothes and more.

Amanda Smith, owner of Peddler's Farmhouse and co-owner of The Marketplace with Jennifer Eckard, owner of Quilting Soldier, said although they had to move abruptly, they have big plans for the new space and still have room for a couple more vendors. She hopes to soon set up a table for people to enjoy snacks or play games with Collectors Quest, which has trading cards and games.

⁘We'll have tables and chairs so people can sit and relax, and we can create that homey feel,⁘ Smith said.

Your Stubborn Sweet Tooth has a mouthwatering variety of cake pops, banana pudding, cakes and more.

They'll soon be adding Wing King ⁘ Moore, by Monica Moore, which will offer grab-and-go lunches, and several arcade games will be installed in coming weeks.

Not only does The Marketplace have a variety of unique shopping options, but it is all local business owners with many products handmade.
