Customers react to possible T-Mobile and Sprint merger

GREENVILLE, N.C. (WITN) - A federal judge gave the green light Tuesday morning to allow Sprint and T-Mobile to merge companies.

The announcement raised concerns with customers about the cellphone bills. Sprint customer Sarah Hopkins seemed cautiously optimistic.

Hopkins is on a family plan with her daughter and is getting used to her flip phone. She says bills tend to go up anyways, she just hopes it doesn't cost more than she can afford.

H&R Block's Evolved Experience Aims To Wow Its 20 Million Customers

More than 150 million Americans will file their taxes in the coming months. But how many of them will have a good experience doing it? H&R Block aims to create a smooth experience for its customers that both instills confidence and wows them. And that comes from continually evolving the customer experience to leverage both technology and human connection.

H&R Block's 20 million customers run the gamut of what they are looking for in an experience. According to CMO Vinoo Vijay, the first wave of customers files early because they want to get their refund as soon as possible. Later in the tax season comes the second wave who just want to get their taxes done. Each group has different needs and emotions relating to their taxes, which means the company needs to offer a wide variety of services.

Optimum raises prices on internet and TV plans, barely warning customers - The Verge

Optimum hiked the prices of its internet and TV plans this month, and many customers have been finding out thanks to the arrival of surprisingly high bills.

TV packages jumped up as much as $30 per month, according to Consumer Reports . Internet prices are going up as well, with the basic "Optimum Online" service jumping up at least $25 per month.

Optimum has a small presence in the US, only available in select areas of several states, including New York, Pennsylvania, and New Jersey. But it has a large presence in New York City where, for many (such as in my own apartment building until somewhat recently), it's the only option available.
